PHARMACY – INFORMATON SYSTEMS PHARMACY COORDINATOR:
New England based Teaching Hospital is looking for an Informatics Pharmacy Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for pharmacy systems while working in collaboration with the Pharmacy IS Administrator. Specializes in the medication use continuum and leverages the use of technology and knowledge of human factors limitations to optimize care delivery processes. Utilizes technology and system design for the purposes of improving medication safety. Current medication management systems include: SCM ®, WORx®, McKesson Robot, Pyxis®, Veriscan® and Hospira smart pumps. Working knowledge and experience with bar code medication management is highly preferred. Provides continuous instruction and training to staff on pharmacy systems functions. Serves as liaison between Pharmacy staff, Information Systems, Revenue stream/Patient Accounts, and other departments as needed. Oversees pharmacy equipment and is responsible for troubleshooting issues with hardware and software.
