CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY

| Skills Required: |
Education and Experience:
• Minimum requirement – BS in Pharmacy, PharmD preferred
• License to practice pharmacy in United States
• Masters Degree in Business Administration is required.
• Evidence of training specific to quality management, performance improvement and understanding of management engineering or operations redesign principles are required.
• 5-10 years progress experience in pharmacy
• Recent experience in a health care organization environment is required.
• Previous clinical experience is a must.
• Prior experience in managing large projects or operations management experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
• Demonstrated skills in deployment of clinical pharmacy program, research methods, literature reviews and assimilation of evidence
• Strong financial and operational management in pharmacy and other hospital departments.
• Strong computer skills (creating files, word processing, graphics, flow documentation software, Excel and/or Microsoft Access).
• Knowledge in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean and/or Six Sigma is preferred.

The Corporate Director of Pharmacy & Technology Initiatives is responsible for providing strategic leadership in planning, development, organization and the execution of the Pharmacy and Technology Program. This strategic leadership will focus on initiatives in utilization management, technology assessment and management, supply chain and other site, regional or corporate initiatives respective to these areas. In addition, this individual is responsible for providing services through interface with site level leadership, functional leadership as well as providing directions and mentoring site pharmacy directors. Activities necessary for the development of these areas include quality, safety, and financial management through the appropriate utilization, operational and capital budget control, and the marketing and promotion of services to physicians, patients, employees and the community.
